I originally posted this in the "Business" thread, but now think that was the wrong thread, so here goes again. Any imput would be appreciated.
I recorded 1.5 days of a seminar for a client then later posted in the PowerPoint slides in Avid. Authored 5 disks, each with a menu that links to presentation a, b or c, and put the PowerPoint slides onto the DVD so viewers can print them if they wish. The disks came out great....not necessarily the type of projects I like, but it pays the bills. We do these for this company two or three times a year.
When I last spoke to the client he showed me something his bosses boss really liked and wanted to know if I can do it. It was a Harvard Business School DVD. When you throw it into the computer an Internet Explorer browser opened with a small window that showed the video of the presenter, but also in a large screen next to it was the full screen powerpoint. Essentially, the ability to show 2 images at once (full screen, although shrunken) that they liked. (Yeah because the presenters are oh so exciting to watch-- "can you take out the soup stain from the guys tie after the lunch break?").
These things are GOD AWEFUL BORING ENOUGH! In my eyes the way we have been doing it before works out for me (editor) and keeps their costs down, since I dont have to buy new gear. (Im sure if we bought more expensive equipment they would love to have their invoices bumped up).
But being a good soldier, I told him I would check into it. Does anyone have any clue how to do this 2 box IE presentation? Is there some software package that could help me do this? Thanks for your help.
