selling or just giving away copyrights of my design?

Hi everyone!
That might be slightly off topic from cameras/filming but not far away. Few months ago I designed graphical user interface for an application. I was doing that for a company that was coding whole app for a big, worldwide company (sports). I was paid long time ago, app at first was meant for just one city. Now this guy has contacted me that this sports company want to expand this app for other cities (of course paying him) and he is asking me to sign copyright release form. What should I do? Should I just sign it for free or demand some pay? If demandind money for it should I ask for each city/usage or just one rate? Will greatly appreciate your help, not kind of sure what to do.

he has asked, because he has realised his contract with you didn't give assign him the rights. Ask him to propose a figure for what he wants to do, and if it's acceptable, take it. If it seems a bit low, ask him to reconsider. Do NOT give it away. Maybe even consider assigning rights for a limited period, or geographical area.
