selling on iTunes...?

All of the musicians and composers who gave me music for my film did so mostly as donations or for exposure. I'd like to see if there's a way I can make them a bit of money by selling the "Soundtrack" to my documentary on iTunes. It's more exposure forthem and my film, and certainly a way for them to make some money.

Does anyone have any experience with this, and is it even possible or worth it to do?

There is a group down in VA that I have shot some music videos for called the Fuzz Band and they have their album on itunes as well. I am not sure how they did it but I guess if you have your music in stores and/or registered it will appear in the itunes database. I havent found the database in itunes for Video based projects yet but I am told there is one. Video projects as in stuff people would submit to have others download like your movie...I work with a guy that told me his stuff was on Itunes but when I searched for it, it conviently told me no results found! LOL!!

I don't know what the payout is for the bands, but if you sign up through the link that SINK posted you will earn 5% per song. Keep in mind that you'll need to submit your website and be approved before you can do this. Other than the lengthy sign up process and waiting for approval, it's fairly easy... I did this for my site and I've earned something like $5.00 so far.. yippy!
