Selling Lowel Omni getting Lowel DP

I'm more than happy with my 2 Lowel DP and 2 Omnis kit for about any thing, but considering the build from the DP, Convenience of having only one
system for accessories, and the fact that the bulbs last longer 300 hours against the Omni only 100 hours, plus the option of using 500 watt bulbs with 2000 hours lasting
with the DP as well as 1000 watt bulbs, I'm thinking that there is not reason to own Omnis, which only have the advantage of, being a little lighter
and smaller. BUT ALSO WHEREVER A Omni goes a DP goes and where ever an Omni fits a DP fits.
I'll like to listen others opinion about my idea, since I have the chance of selling my Omnis for a great price and buying 2 DP
I'll highly appreciate clever concepts.

You will get confused having 500w bulbs in one and 1000w in another and if you don't get confused at some point your crew will. It's much easier to keep to different housings for that alone.

Yes Patryk, that was my first concern, but an idea came out is to mark the 2-500 watt with a small piece of gaffer tape on the focusing knob that is cool as well as the handle bottom. Thank you for your opinion.

Any tape even around so-called cold parts melts and makes things gooey. Trust me i use Lowel lights all the time as they are much lighter then Arris. You kinda need 2x 1k, 2x 500w, 2x 250w one way or another (and they fit very nicely in medium Arri case...)

How about a small rubber band around the handle ?

I'll put paper tape on the stand connector if need be, but it's easy enough to take a a quick peak at the globe to determine which size it is, as the 500w globes are much thinner than the 1000w.

Yes Patryk mentioned that : (and they fit very nicely in medium Arri case...) , that made me think. and you also which I appreciate, Despite of the fact that I knew, the size difference, was very tempting to have a unique system DP.
BUT I decided to keep the omnis and even more , buy 2 pros. In my personal opinion there is not better lighting that Lowel Hotlights. Again thank you for your opinion,

Lowels are great lights. I have one of their rolling cases loaded with a Fren-L, 3x DPs, 4x Totas, 2x Pros, plus squeezers, & other accessories. A bit heavy, but still amazing to have all those tools in a single case.

Most my gigs call for daylight sources, if only to reduce heat, or amps, but I love tungstens, & use them whenever practical.
