Is there anything I'm required to provide when selling a used camera ie original bill of sale etc? Is it like selling a car wth regards to needing a bill of sale, or would a baisc receipt wth the serial number suffice?

Thanks,

Tyler

Don't understand the question. When you sell a car and provide a bill of sale that's so that the new owner can prove ownership for state sticker and insurance purposes (and also shows that legally you relinquished the vehicle on such-and-such a date in case the person gets in your car and drives and runs someone over you can't be sued).

Why would you need to have any documents showing that your camera has (legally) changed hands? Guns and cars I understand. What could someone do with your camera that would negatively effect you after it's sold? And what good does a receipt and serial number do them? Unless you're talking about some kind of transfer of warranty and re-registering the camera? That's a whole other issue.
