Resident Agitator
I am unbreakable at this moment. I started filming my latest short this past monday. 5 days and 5 mini dv tapes later and I think I've got what can safely be called a kick ass short.

I've been working on it for just over half a year now, and it feels amazing to have it shot. I've never devoted some much time to a single project before.

I can now return to posting 10 :D's per day. I'll begin editing next week, I want to let my brain rest for a few days before diving into it.

Re: Self Pity and Key Lime Pie

Congratulations TC. I'm sure it is great, but we will ALL be the judge of that! Please post some grabs ASAP. Again, congratulations. We all know you've been busy and miss your ;D's.

Good luck!

Re: Self Pity and Key Lime Pie

Holy crap Terry, I am LMAO right now. :D

Re: Self Pity and Key Lime Pie

TC--that sounds great (everything but the :D, that is). Can't wait to see some grab/clips. You know it *is* eligible for this month's DVXFEST.

Re: Self Pity and Key Lime Pie

Good stuff TC. We have all tried to hold up the smiley face quota, but it hard to do the work of giants! ;D

Re: Self Pity and Key Lime Pie

:D

Is there no time limit for this month's contest?

Re: Self Pity and Key Lime Pie

Congratulations on the shoot! You being happy with it must be a major relief! I can only assume there was some stress and fear involved. Proud of ya banana boy! :D

Now that you're back posting your usual amount I will need to get up an hour earlier daily to catch up on your all night post sesions.... ::)

Re: Self Pity and Key Lime Pie

Same deal as always--the film must be shot and submitted during the month of the contest. If you started shooting Monday, than it's a January film (as long as you finish this month). I don't count pre-production time--the clock starts from the first day of shooting.

Re: Self Pity and Key Lime Pie

I mean time limit as in I think the final product will clock in over 10 minutes. Do we still need to keep it under 5?

Re: Self Pity and Key Lime Pie

I'll be the little spaceship w/ the light up lazer.

Re: Self Pity and Key Lime Pie

Five minutes is the limit, but get creative. You could do a 5 minute long "abridged" version. You know, I have a 13 minute version of Alien on Super-8. It's pretty hysterical. Or we could get Part I. Or you could speed the whole thing up to 200% and drop the voice pitch so we can understand the dialogue. That's why they call me the idea man. ;D
