I was tooling around alibaba the other day and came across this:
http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/664604039/E_350_3_5_inch_Electronic.html

Looks like another inexpensive Chinese product. I was being polite, probably very cheap.
I emailed their rep and wasn't able to get a price point. I would guess $125-$150.

They said it would be a month before it was released (just in time for Christmas?)

Thoughts?

i had to request a price. i hope it is as cheap as you say. i havent seen any EVF in that price bracket yet. i currently have the Zacuto EVF and like it a lot. i want to get another but would consider cheaping out if this looks decent.

Take a look at this site:http://www.dslrnewsshooter.com/2012/07/05/the-kinotehnik-lcdvfe-a-short-review-of-the-latest-hdmi-electronic-viewfinder/ a review by Matt Allard about the Kinotehnik EVF. According to him, the best and for a reasonable price!

I just ordered the new Cineroid EVF... was 685 pounds in the UK without tax. It's about the same as the one you posted, although I think the promise of HDMI & SDI in / SDI loop out, vector scopes, waveform and retina display is worth paying for. I'll drop a review in the support section once I get it... should probably be tomorrow and then I'll do a 2nd one once my FS100 gets back from rental.

I've had my Zacuto for quite a while and I love it. There are some things I'd like to see different, but I'm a solid 4.75 of 5 in satisfaction.
It is a quality product, with a quality product price.

I would expect this EVF to be on par with the Cinecity/ProAim type quality and price.

I got an email from the manufacturer.... $203 each, available now.
Although I'm not sure if that's the retail or wholesale price.

I'm interested, Let me know how it goes. I used to use Alibaba years back and researched and found that there are Scammers on there, so be careful.

i have yet to hear back from my pricing request. so "Alibaba" has scammers? thats concerning. ill want to see a few people have success on ordering this unit. i dont need this to be as nice as my zacuto EVF but if the general consensus is mediocre id just buy another noted EVF rather than take a risk especially if this company is not reliable. zacuto has excellent customer service.

The seller of the Chinese EVF at Alibaba is not responding. Seems like a fake and scammer to me because they usually reply in a minute (based on experience dealing with legitimate Alibaba sellers).

Let me know if anyone managed to contact their sale representative ok.

THanks

To all who is interested, I have one unit of this and considering to buy a few more and the manufacturer would give me discounts if I buy more than 5 units. Do let me know if you guys want one and the price is USD 230 (+ shipping to wherever you guys are since I am in Malaysia. Since I do have UPS account, the cost is USD 30 from KL Malaysia to USA in general).

Here is my simplified brochure since I am also a video equipment reseller here in Malaysia (check my website www.kicapi.com).

I will post more pictures and quick video review, but honestly this thing is in a good quality. I have been using it for a week now.

Thanks and do let me know ok.

P.s. I have bought and sold on DVXUSER before and I am an official dealer for BC Media (ProAm) cranes in Malaysia in case you guys are wondering on my credibility
