I'd like to get a new lav mic that I can run into my Sony PCM-M10 recorder. Currently using an ATR-3350 for lav needs. Primary uses will be recording interviews and puppetry performances. Basically, either mounted on the shirt somewhere or the forehead. I'd like to keep the cost somewhere around $100 or less. I guess I'm most concerned about finding something with good sensitivity, so that I can keep the gain on the recorder as low as possible. Also something that isn't very susceptible to picking up cord noise. I do use a RODE VMP also, so having a somewhat similar sound to that may be beneficial at times. Current thoughts are something from OST or the new RODE Smartlav+(not the original one). I'm curious if anyone has compared these or knows of any other good options to consider? Maybe someone can tell me about the stated sensitivity levels on some of the options, as I have little idea on how to read those. Thanks
