Okay guys and gals I need your opinion. For events, what do you think of the panasonic AG-DVC60 as a back-up for getting those close-ups and cutaways while I use the DVX for a safe/static shot ?

Thats correct. Shooting 30fps. It has cineswitch technology so ...

Yup. It sits on the shelf right next to a DVX in the local photo/video store, with considerably more dust on it...

Seriously, I wish I could help you out - but I don't enough about it. I don't see why it should be too much of a problem as long as it's a 3 CCD (is it?), and you shoot the same rate (30P?), with gamma set to NORMAL in the DVX, and both cameras manually white-balanced to the same card under the same lighting.

BUT - I am sure John H. or Barry will have a much more detailed explanation. Good luck!
