Second Camera Suggestions?

I am shooting a documentary this summer, my first big project, and wanted to get some advice on getting a second camera. I don't have a on of cash, around $1000, but I did not want to spend that on something that was not going to work with my other video. My main camera is an HVX200 and I am going to try and shoot everything in 1080 24p. The second camera would be used to mix in b roll stuff but also to get some underwater and crash cam shots. I would prefer it to be an HDD camera capable of shooting 1080 24p, like the Canon HF-10.

Heres is questions. What, if any , problems am I going to run into trying to mix video from these two cameras together? Also, does anyone have any suggestions as to which camera would fit my requirements? Any advice for a second camera would be great! Thanks in advance.

AVCHD still is a bear to edit on most NLE's. My suggestion would be to go with the Canon HV20 or HV30 - save you a couple of hundred bucks and being HDV, there's a more tried and tested workflow.
