Second camera for subject to use, suggestions asap...

Thanks in advance for your help, this is my first post.

I am interested in sending one of the subjects in my film a camera to use themselves. Something small, easy to use, that will produce footage that I can actually use in my film. My primary camera is a DVX100a, footage so far is 24p Advanced.

I am considering a Panasonic GS120 or something similar. Is this a good direction? Or should I look into other manufacturers?

Any suggestions? Under $500 would be nice.

Thanks again...

I am also interested in this question. I am working with a DVX100B and was thinking about purchasing a second camera for B rolls and other uses. I notice that Alton Brown's new show on the Food Network seems to use the HVX for the primary cameras and then a smaller DVR for Alton to carry around and shoot with. I am not sure what this camera might be.

Having only researched the higher-end cameras, I've discovered I know nothing about the smaller, less expensive ones. I've read decent things about the GS250 and the GS300, as well as the GS120.

I'm also curious how the footage will mix. While I want it to look nice, I want it to have the "feel" of being shot by the subject. Hope that makes sense.

There seems to be a lot of threads on this so sorry to be repetitive. Appreciate the help...
