Searching for MY ideal camera

HI ALL,

out of nowhere I suddenly am looking for a (stills)camera.
Years ago, I was quite up to date with what was going around and stuff, but now I'm not.

I'll cut to what I'm looking for:

• Digital (I have my go to body for film)
• A GOOD Viewfinder (if it's an evf, it has to be almost as good as an optical)
• LTM / M Mount friendly (and/or OM mount friendly) (slim adapter)
• Manual Focus Friendly (very friendly please)
• Compact / Reasonably compact ( No SLR style, you know…)
• Portable friendly (I have a 550D, it's not portable friendly)
• The less weight the better
• The less I have to go inside the menu the better
• The less bells and whistles the better

• BUDGET FRIENDLY - it would be easy otherwise -

That's more or less basically it, a digital that shoots like a film camera.
Why digital? Cause I feel for certain things (location scouting, set, pre-visualisation,…) I'm better of using digital,
for other my other stuff: Film is here to stay.

Fujifilm X-Pro2 or X-T1 or X-T10 with the Fuji M to XM adapter (the real fuji adapter, not a third party). Maybe also a Fuji X-E2 or X-E2s. Note that these are APS-C (cropped) cameras, not full frame.

If you wait long enough that would change to Fuji X-T2 but it isn't even a rumor yet, only a logical progression.

This is an interesting discussion, I will following this. I have been looking for the perfect camera ever since the D90 was announced. Well, rather, I should say that the DVX100B was my perfect camera until the D90 was announced.

Anyway, for a simple list, that is always updated and the most interesting cameras available are listed in the first post, I have an ongoing thread to keep up with both the new and the old.

Video cameras have evolved enough, that we don't always need the latest and greatest.... just the best for the job!
