Hey, how come we cant search for short words?

like i tried searching for Sin City and i got nothin...and i know there are lots of thread that talked about it.


BTW, i made a more PC version of the army guy drinking a cup of STPPU...might be usefull...

I've been thinking about making a thread about the short word exclusion as well.

I was trying to search 'Dell' to find the thread about the 24" monitor, no dice.
 
I was trying to search poo, to find all the instances where the new censor changed old threads, no dice.
 
"The search term you specified is under the minimum word length (5) and therefore will not be found. Please make this term longer."
 
I feel bad for all the newbs that get attacked for not using the search function because to me it has rarely worked when I try to use it. I just have to go page by page in the category I think its in. :(
 
When I first started I noticed this as well and kinda thought it sucked. Why don't we make a FAQ page for commonly asked questions for Newbs ( Myself being one ).
 
FAQ should cover: whats that click? Whats the red X? What tapes should I use? How do I post a picture?
There are several more that keep popping up... I think tapes is one of the major ones.
 
I'm sure it has to do with the taxation on the server if it has to index all the small words within the database. Probably a huge load.

It would be very helpful though... For instance I'm unable to search for my screen name to see who all is talkin smack about me.. :)

Hey Rich, I showed that "friend" of mine your music video last night and she loved it. Once again I'm trying to impress girls by showing them stuff other people have done. No wonder I'm still single.

Pookie - People have way too much free-time. Then again that's probably what visitors to this site say about us. :)
