I've been using the H4N for DSLR audio, and have been happy, buy recently found a SD722 for a good price.
Just recorded some in the field VO with it, the portable sound booth, and a Rode NT1a mic.
WOW, night and day difference!
I mean, I have a SD302 mixer and love the thing to death, but the preamps in the SD722 allowed me to plug the mic right in and use it all by itself.
Wow.
