SD302 to HVX, 2 different channels, one mic.

Hey everyone,
been fiddling around with this for a while now and i think its time to ask for help. how on earth do i set the SD302 to send audio to the hvx from input 1 and input 2, each mono signals, input 1 would be set with fader at unity and input 2 would be set just a bit higher, that way i'm covered. then each mono channel would be sent to my hvx and seperated. I know all you smart audio guys do this, i want to as well! Please help me! thanks so much
 
center pan the mic on the 302. Set your input 1 on the hvx to channel 1 and input to to channel 2 (under the lcd screen). Turn on the 1kHz tone. Adjust the hvx dial until channel 1 reads -20 then adjust the dial on channel 2 until it is 1 or two "bars" less.

After this is set, your peaks on the 302 should run +8 on up to +16 (-12 to -4 on the hvx).
