SD monitor on HVX

Someone, please, specify the HD monitor that does all the job (field monitor, color corecting, make coffee etc :) ) , whatever the price...
Here's a link to Panasonic's entire line:

The BT-LH1700W is regarded as the best monitor for the HVX. You can accurately set color on it. Note that not a single one of those monitors does 1920x1080.

The problem is that there isn't a one solution that does everything (much like the problem we're having with the cameras themselves). That's why the RED looks so promising. Anyway, hope that list helps.

But what if you're shooting in 720p and your SD monitor has 750 lines of res like the JVC TMH150CG?

my primary concern is focus and frame

Thanks Haakon. So acording to Barry we should have one of this babys if we want to do the job right. So it is not just the resolution that counts cause my monitor has far more res then Pany has. So it mast be the HD signal that probably a native HD monitor uderstands better. But what are those differences really ? And again if I buy the Panasonic monitor wich exit I am supose to use to stick it in my laptop. My harware outputs the HD signal corectly ? Am I going to view two entirely different images: the one on my laptops lcd and the one of the HD montior ? Again, I uderstand why is a deadend situation for field monitoring, but althought I also uderstand why we should have HD monitor for any purpose I steel neeed to know all the technical stuff that I beleive our friend Barry knows but doesnt have the time to share with us right now. Barry, I completly uderstand why in every post you dont sit down and make a lecture, and I respect your time and I am truely greatfull for your overall effords but in this case I think you should help us out, make a new thread probably and take the time to explain the diferences beetween HD / SD monitors. It is crusial to us all.

Hey guys, I have a 27" HD monitor I use to watch High-Definition television on via satellite. Can I just bring this monitor to the set and hook the cam up to that, lol?

If so, what connectors would I need?
