scrolling text help please

I tried the suggestions about getting my text to scroll horizontally, right to left. I've got it moving in pan/crop, but what I created in the media generator is several pages long, and I can only get one page to show up in the project. Am I missing a step to be able to use my whole text?

Don't use pan/crop. In the text editor, go to the "placement" tab. On the first keyframe in the timeline, put the beginning of the text in the lower right corner (adjust to tase). On the last keyframe, put the end of the text in the lower left corner. Make sure your Y coordinates match.

You will probably have to experiment some to get it exactly how you want it in terms of position, speed, etc..
 
halfway there...got it to scroll, but it's flying by way too fast...how to slow it down? if I drag the clip out longer, it repeats itself...
 
You need to go into the media properties and change the length of the media (at the top). Make it longer.
 
will do, thanks....as it scrolls, the text is jumping and not scrolling smoothly. Is that just how it should look in preview, before I render? It's not going to look like that in the final project, I hope.
