Screw size

I am looking to buy a quick release plate for a Bogen 3063 that I just bought and am wondering what size the screw is that secures the camera to the tripod? I have seen the plates with 1/4 and 3/8 sizes. Thanks.

Any recommendations on quick release plates?

Manfrottto 3273 (357) Universal Sliding Plate.

The standard DV and Photo camera screw size is 1/4".  

And yes, the Manfrotto 357 / Bogen 3273 is recomanded, We
use it on the DvRigPro.

This particluar head takes a hexagonal plate so I don't believe the 357 will work. I'll just grab one of the Bogen's assuming they'll do the trick fine. Thanks guys.

the technical specification for the screw is a 1/4 20

i guess 20 refers to the thread pitch?

You can mount the 357 on ANY head.

It simply attaches to the QR.

20 is the thread count.

Would you recommend the 357 over the Bogen 3159 (hexagon shaped plate)? Is the longer profile on the 357 better suited for the DVX's body?

Go with the 357, much easier to use.
