Screw PS3, gimme a Wii

Wiimotes (the remotes you wave around) are dangerous:

My friend smashed a kid in the face with one when he was playing a demo model at the mall last weekend.

Several people have destroyed their TVs with them (the tether tends to break):

and several people have actually gotten hurt by either flying wiimotes or people bashing them in the face:

if you wonder how this happens take a look at this video:

that said, it looks like a lot of fun

Omfg that's not good.

You missed out on some of the greatest titles ever, Malcom. The SNES games were like revolutionary in terms of story, game depth and all.

You at least have to go back to play Squaresoft games. Or Nintendos ZELDA!

Edit-- DAng Cynic, I didn't even read your post until after I posted this. We feel the same. Aww.

LOL.

Good job Mench, start playing.

That youtube video: what a n00b that guy is, He is clearly over swining, and in the hours and hours of sometimes over exageratted movements that me and my friends game , never has a controller slipped out of anyones hands. Relying on the strap is a last chance to save a controller. The problem is not nintendos on the part of the controllers flying out of hands.

I actually think its quite funny though when it happens to someone.

It's just people trying to keep console wars going. Kinda like Camera wars, yeah?

Have to wait until next year when it all dies down and people realize all systems are great and they should just go and buy them all for their exclusive titles.

On another note... Why the hell are people holding the controller by the freaking tether? Hold the damned controller and you won't have a problem!

Fanboys are usually the biggest dorks as well. I actually have written a multiple page essay of sorts on the psychology of attaching to specific things / groups such as fanboys do and used video game consoles as an example.

LOL. id have to get it at home , and look over it again. Honestly it was written about 2 months ago for some gaming boards i got sick of. Flame wars left and right between the haves and the have nots. Ill see if i can find it and make some edits to see if its suitable for posting on here.

People already dont like me, so gotta be careful how brash i come off.

hey. brash is good. I go as "arrogand bastard" and "arrogant a**hole" myself :o)

seriously, I'd like to read it

HA!

I did get to play a small sampling of those games at a gaming exhibition which is on going at the museum of science in london. Its called 'game on' and allows you to get your hands on every game from space invaders to motorstorm. I gotta say its tough to adjust to the graphical differences

UGH --

I'm bummed!

Took my time setting it up... read thru the manual etc.

Did all the updates it wants to do as it connects online...

THEN tried to load the CD sports game and the drive mechanism failed. Wouldn't accept the drive. Wouldn't take from my hand - ya know? Pushed all the way in and wouldn't register. Had to get the plastic tweezers out to grab it from inside the drive. Nothing was holding it in either. Very sad.

Tried cleaning it... tried powering off... unplugging... all the power user type of non-destructive fixes. NOTHING!

I'm super bummed. Hoping WalMart will hold one of the new shipment for me -- we'll see later today.

Frag!
