As much as I want to look forward to announcements at NAB. I'm waiting for E3 even more. Gaming technology is amazing, and its time for the next gen stuff to be revealed.

I think that the reason E3 is more exciting is because I already bought a camera and equipment and it'll be awhile before I can afford much more. However my gaming budget can go alot further. :grin:
 
..yeah, i think thats just a matter of where your priorities lie. money is money. ..hopefully theres advances in every arena of our life though :)
 
Games are indeed amazing! I'm waiting for Battlefield 2. I will just throw couple of screenshots :) Look at the water and explosions on these one:

Not to mention the possible abilities of xbox2 or playstation3...

Anyway I will probably blow all my money on hvx200 and stay with arkanoids and pacman :)
 
Battlefield 2 hopes to do what I always wanted out of vietnam, which is modern combat.

As far as advances in my life. Yeah, there are far more important things than gaming. But still........I mean come on, look at those screen shots!

If you truly want to see something amazing look at the unreal engine 3.0 tech demo footage. That'll make your jaw drop.
 
I shot some behind the scenes for "Shadow Ops Red Mercury' last year. Gaming industry bets the movie industry hands down as far as making money! Most people don't know that, I totaly freaked when I saw the numbers.
 
I've been going to e3 since 2000 and it's always the same thing, games you won't see until christmas, etc

I'm looking forward to all 3 of the next gen systems. One thing I REALLY dislike about next gen graphics are those damn normal maps. I think they look great on architecture but characters look dumpy with them applied. Now, I'm using DOOM3 as my example here, but from what I've seen the next gen unreal engine uses normal maps and they look excellent on both characters and architecture. I'll have to wait until it's closer to release to make a decision though. As for hardware I'll be waiting on buying the PS3 as I will NEVER buy a first revision of a sony console again. I'm on my 3rd PS2 now and even it is giving me fits. Anyway, I'm hoping to finally get a release date for the Final Fantasy 7 : Advent Children movie and the game FF12 while E3 is going on. I've been waiting ages for another installment of the FF series :( Oh yeah, and next gen games are rumored to go up to 60 bucks?? BLAH!!! The budgets are also increasing which leaves the indie developers out of the loop. I guess we'll see no more sleeper hits from unknown dev's in the future. my, how gaming has changed. ugh!!!

I know a handful of people who have had PS2 problems. Its insane, my brothers quit working and he bought it a year ago.....they should get their act together for the next outing.
