Radiohead, never ones to shy away from trying new things, has shot its new video for "House of Cards" without using cameras at all. Whaa? Yes, they've used two fancy new technologies called Geometric Informatics and Velodyne Lidar. To shoot it using lasers and stuff

Can't wait to see the video.

you could in theory do something similar on the cheap using 3dsom and 13 video cameras, and saving each model as a sperate model file, very timeconsuming..

*I'd be happy to set one up provided they have 13 cameras genlocked , plus it would be in color unlike the LIDAR laser scanner..

Luis I'm serious, its very easy (ish) the software does the hardwork.

The only downside is that it has to be shot in a greenscreen studio with 13 cameras in a fixed position..

I like that they slate for lasers? I don't quite understand since the slate isn't 3D. Maybe it was just for the BTS guy?

I also enjoyed some of the laser devices were mounted on a fisher dolly! Whoo yea!

PS. That video didn't really do it for me. I felt epileptic half way through. Oh well.
