I am a mature 31 year old screenwriter. I have worked in the past as a corporate videographer and writing dozens of short films but looking to make the transition to writing my first feature length adaptation.
Suitable material:
* Comedy or drama. These are the most sold genres according to Scriptsales.com. Both steal 28% and 25% of the market, whiles other genres take up only 5-10%. If your source material is well written, I'm open to reading other genres.
* Any format including poetry, lyrics from a song, a play, newspaper/internet article, novel, non-fiction book, teleplay, card game, game, board game, treatment...
Unsuitable material:
* Short story (difficult to expand)
* Horror (I dislike horror as a genre)
* A one paragraph idea (not enough)
* Copyrighted ideas (if you have the rights to them, then that's a different story)
I am based in Wellington NZ, so if you are an international writer, you'd just need to be open to voice / visual chats on Skype.
