Screenplay Website Question

I was browsing the web a few months ago and ran across a site where you could read other's work and rate the screenplay. You signed up and then could download a screenplay, read it, then rate it. The more you rated, the more "respect" you got on the site. I think it also had a section to help you write your own. It was quite a nice site as I remember (lots of Flash animation, etc.), but I can't seem to find it now after a quick Google search.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Thanks,
AD

UPDATE:

Never mind, I think I found it.

Not a chance in hell...

Those who have had scripts/treatments pickpocketted like so many Fagins know where I'm coming from.

You gotta guard those babies like they were...well...your babies. Cause ya never know which property coulda been a contender.

IMHO of course

Just curious. what was the website?

I got some great advice on zoetrope a few years ago but I have to agree that I have concerns about making my work that public.

The whole thing, for those sites.

NO ONE WILL STEAL YOUR SCREENPLAY.

You think a production company would risk a few million in a lawsuit when the cost of a screenplay from a newbie is less than $50K? It's cheaper to buy it and have someone else rewrite it if they don't like it as-is. (And they won't like it as-is.)

That's not what I think per se...

I do think, tho, that a starving artist would steal from a fellow starving artist faster than you can say (or type) "FADE TO BLACK"

I'd register any script with the WGA or copyright office before posting it online. Otherwise, like Callaghan said, you're just throwing free ideas out to the sharks. Proof that an idea was yours is always the best defense. Along with a fanatical devotion to the Pope.
