On this particular copyright subject, lets say I have a screenplay written but want to get another writer to re-write. Would I copyright it before handing off to the new screenwriter, or just rely on the WGA registration? I'm of the opinion I would copyright it to fully protect myself then file an amended copyright when the new script comes back. Now I have worked with a couple people on short scripts and did not copyright them, but shorts essentially have no real commercial viability so you would not really lose much. A feature script is a different subject however.
