Scream 4 - Spoilers!!!

tmnt

King of Australia
Kevin Williamson, screenwriter of the original is back but don't expect anything groundbreaking here. It's all very silly and though not an absolutely terrible movie I'd say go see it on cheap day or wait for DVD.

Not one single notable kill - not good considering that's half the battle with horror movies.

Also I think this must have been the most cell phone calls I've seen in a movie.

Didnt find any scenes atmospheric, much less scary.

This movie was definitely let down by a poor, lazy script.

I think Craven made some kind of statement about the studio bringing in Ehren Kruger (no relation to Freddy) to "fix" the script both he and Williamson were very happy with. That would explain a few things.

It's a first in a new trilogy, and as I understand, they're riffing on remakes this time.
If they go with Remakes, Prequels and 20-years-later sequels for this trilogy I can see a point with it. Remakes and Prequels need to be made fun of as much as slasher needed to be fun of when the first Scream came out.

If they were going for something new they have missed the mark. There was nothing clever in the movie and nothing that would indicate it was the brains behind the first.

I think it's a movie for early teens, they might get a kick out of it's fast pacing and perhaps not be ad bothered with the movies pitfalls.

Anyone else seen it yet?

I certainly hope it's not a trilogy. You can only reheat leftovers so many times before they become inedible.

Still, this was a fun flick. More comedy than horror but it works.
