I'm wanting to make sure I get this right, from the start... so help, as always, is appreciated:
1) I set-up a disk as the scratch disk.
2) But then, I read how I should set-up a FILE on the disk as my scratch disk... such as a file called: Final Cut Pro Documents ...so, I created a filed called this and set-it as my scratch disk.
3) But, I had already been working on a small project in FCP (before I had created this file) and so I have a file (for example) called RENDER FILES both in the FINAL CUT PRO DOCUMENTS folder, as well as on the hard-drives main section (I don't know what to call this... but it isn't in a folder per se).
4) So, for organization sake, I'd like to move RENDER FILES to within FINAL CUT PRO DOCUMENTS folder (would overwrite the currently empty file that already exists there).
5) Question: Would moving this folder there cause my project not to function properly when it is re-opened, or would it work okay because that folder is now designated as my scratch-disk set-up? If it would cause a problem, what would be the best way to re-organize my folders without breaking anything?
