I'm one of the instigators in a short film fest that our city hosts every year, and this year we are obligated to show only sci/fi and horror shorts on the third night of our run. We didn't think this would be a prob back in January when the pitch was made, as we are usually inundated with entries in this genre.
Ooops..
This year we've only got four sci/fi entries, which is not enough to fill our Thursday evening slot. We've received a boat-load of really nice comedies and some utterly stunning dramas, and now we're running out of time to fill the run-down for the only night we're locked into content-wise. Go figure.....
If you've got some good sci-fi or horror shorts (10-minute target length) and would like to get them in front of a decent theatre audience, please PM me - -I'd love to hear from you......
P.S. - This is a non-profit festival, with all proceeds (and more) dedicated to promoting the activities of emergent indie producers in our area. The city kicks in money, sponsors kick in money, all of the workers are volunteers (and most of them kick in money), nobody anywhere (except the festival winners) makes a dime.
