School Schedule

Alright, here is my situation. I am a senior in high school, I'm only taking two classes, and I'm trying to decide my schedule. I have two options. Before we continue, let me explain that my school runs on what we call "block scheduling". Each day has it's own "color" (Red or Black), which alternates. Red days are all the even periods, black days are all the odd periods. For example:

Monday = Black; classes 1 3 5 7
Tuesday = Red; classes 2 4 6 8
Wednesday = Black...Thursday = Red, and so on...

If you're still reading and you're not completely confused, here is my question. I can either go to school on both Black AND Red days, every weekday, from 8:00-10:30, which allows me to take both classes. OR, I can go to school ONLY on Black days from 9:00-3:00, which allows me to not go to school at all on Red days (so basically I wouldn't be going to school 2 or 3 days a week, alternating every week)...but I would be taking one class right in the morning, and one class right at the end of the day. So I would have to sit in study halls and such for about 4 hours. Uhh...what's the better choice? Thanks!

Re: School Schedule

What is the bene of you going everyday? Does this increase your chance of having a lighter schedule later?

If your gonna be there; you might as well be productive, right?

Re: School Schedule

no...same set of classes all year...i'm only taking 2 classes, english and government. i have two choices in terms of schedule. either take both of these classes in the morning, every weekday, from 8:00-10:30 a.m....or take english in the morning at 9:00-10:30 a.m. and stay the rest of the day (doing teacher's aid and study hall crap) and take history at 1:30-3:00, and only go into school 2 or 3 times a week. i don't need any more classes than these...i'm like 15 credits over what i need to graduate with...just, these classes are required.

Re: School Schedule

yeah...i suppose! but, i'm wondering which one to do...go in the morning every weekday, or go all day for 2 or 3 times a week...

Re: School Schedule

I say go in the mornings. There's a very real possibilty you might go nuts and kill someone just sitting in there all day. That'd be no good. Then you could come home and catch the last half of The View, er, make films. I've said too much.

Re: School Schedule

No, I'd do the both on one day thing.... During those 4 hours you do the homework for the morning class, or study for the test in the afternoon class. Basically I think you'd end up having enough time to do work at school allowing you complete freedom at home in the evenings and on that day off.

Re: School Schedule

I agree with Kitsu--go for the Class-Homework-Study-Class schedule 2-3 days a week and have your days off completely free to do whatever.
