Holy buckets, cheap recording media for a 2/3" chip cam.

This is getting really interesting, from Red....... http://www.red.com/nab/scarlet

Be very interesting to see what shakes out from Red, when this gets released , an alternative to pricey P2 storage, in a killer cam "under $3K"! including lens, 4.8" flip out monitor.

The Panny 150 sounds really cool for SD cards.... but this!!??

obviously the cameras are directed to two diferent markets..... Imagine going to a wedding with a scarlet..... weird but at the same time intersting, does 120 fps shots could be intersting..
I think that for event filming the hmc is more useful, but for cine dont know we'll have to see.....

Why would it be weird? I imagine Scarlet is going to be used at plenty of weddings. The camera that's really going to revolutionize wedding work is the DSMC. Being able to do still & video work with 1 camera/person is going to be huge.
