If you get an email that contains this info(aka The UK National Lottery) report them.

Long story short, they are requiring you to send money to them BEFORE they send you your supposed "winnings".

Number one rule in sweepstakes/lotto/contests-You NEVER send money to claim your prize-Not EVER.That is the FIRST sign of a scam.

I thought about reporting them but what is the use? This probably the only effective way to shut these guys down-by WOM.

Don't waste your time with these crooks-

And if you can please get the word out by cutting and pasting this message on every board that you frequent

Thank you!

Did you send them money? Any email you get mentioning a lottery or a deposed african dictator is scam spam. Delete that shite.

Don't bother cutting and pasting this message on other boards. This is basic internet 101. Don't respond to unsolicited emails asking for money.

Yeah, I got that one two days ago!

They should just shoot those people - they are scum of the earth!

Intelligent, capable people who selfishly exploit others for personal gain. Worse than common theives.

Yeah - I really upset a lady on the phone the other day...

She called me and asked for my extension number, who I was and what was my user Id. I was like 'ehm, sorry: you call me and ask my extension number? HELLO?'

She goes 'oh, no really I am from the company, we are just doing inventory of blah blah blah'.

So I asked her to give me her extension and called back. Turned out she was right - no outside scammer.

A few month back, when I had my little extempore with Air Canada, their technical support people actually had the nerve to ask me for a password to my online booking profile... I raised hell.

Anyway - just thought I would tell you guys how careful I am with sharing my personal info. I guess it comes with the territory - growing up in a police state and stuff

Yeah those scum bags sent me something a while ago. I sent them the money that I had saved up for a DVX100a...JUST KIDDING. They need to be stopped, if they do that again, I am just going to email them weird and awkward questions, see how much longer they'll try to get my money :)

Yeah, and I have some really good info on how to protect yourself from internet scams. To help me help you just PM to me your mother's maiden name, your social security #, and one of your credit card numbers. I'll get right back with the info and include a special prize.

Here let me make it easier for you: 1.Doe 2. 555-55-555 3. 1234-5678-9012
I hope the special prize is a DVX!

It's people like these that make it even more difficult for people to raise money for legitimate causes. Scammers suck!
