Scam Alert for manufacturers and Equipment dealers

This is Tom from VariZoom. I thought I would alert other manufacturers and equipment dealers of a potential scam we seem to have discovered.

We recently have seen substantial orders come in for equipment to be paid by credit card with delivery to another country. The buyer also additionally instructs to use a specific shipper (prepaid) that would appear to be part of this scam.

Did you check with the shipper to see if it is a scam? How do you sell to others who work out side of the U.S. if not by credit card?

Yeah it was a scam. The guy is in San Francisco and the bank has multiple notes of people complaining about this guy. They direct people to San Francisco police and then they tell you to file a report with your local police dept. I am starting to understand how the guy gets away with it.

The shipper is the scammer. It is a phony shipping company.

Did you check with the shipper to see if it is a scam? How do you sell to others who work out side of the U.S. if not by credit card?

on a side note..... the majority of people scamming on the internet use free emails in this kind of format:

john1562887572@hotmail.com

It is amazing how many times we can spot a potential scam just from their email address.
