Scalping Someone

Hi, in the script I'm doing...a character scalps another, taking the top of his head off. He's wearing a helmet.

What I need to construct is a scalp that is stuck to the bottom of the helmet.

Do you know what material to use to make realistic looking skin? I figure most of it will be bloody hair with some bloody skin sticking out.

Latex for sure. I just picked up the first Tom Savini book GRANDE ILLUSIONS and it's great. Scalping, beheading, limbs, living dead...quite comprehensive. I want volume two.
