Saving chapter markers from nested sequences

I noticed when I take my finished sequence with chapter markers and drop it into a new sequence to (say run a broadcast safe filter on the whole thing), my chapter markers do not transfer into the new sequence. They can still be seen as clip markers...

Is there a way (besides by hand) to take the markers from the dropped in sequence (which now becomes a clip) and extract the markers so they work as chapter markers in the new sequence?

thanks!

why not just put your filter on the exsiting timeline, render, then export. If you want 2 different files (one with the filter, one without) just export the video, then add the filter and export again. If you ever wanted to go back and not have the filter, just un check it in your filters tab.

I don't think FCP has an "adjustment layer" like After Effects, so if I wanted to globally run a filter, I would have to apply the filter to every clip.

then highlight all of the clips and drag the filter on... it will be applied to all the selected clips

Or, righ click a Nested Sequence (Sequence inside of a Sequence), chose Open In Viewer, apply a filter. It will be applied to the Nest as a whole, but if you open the Nest in it's own Timeline window, then open each clip, you won't see the filter. It's only applied to that Nested version.

To answer the original question that was not about filters, no, sorry, you can't. What I do is highlight the Nested Sequence, hold the Shift key while I hit the left or right arrow keys. This will jump to the markers specific to the Nested Sequence. Then when I hit each one, hit M twice, fill in my info.

In this method, I don't do actual Chapter Markers at first, just plain Markers. Then when I Nest all my Sequences, I go through with this method to make actual Chapter Markes.

If no clip or Nest is highlighted, holding Shift and hitting the left or right arrow keys will jump you between Markers in the Timeline. If a clip or Nest is highlighted, it jumps you between Markers in that specific highlighted clip or Nest.
