Saving a Favorite effect

Okay I just hooked up a cool little effect for a project I am working on and I went ahead and saved it for possible use in another project. Now correct me if I am wrong but when I saved the effect it is just saving the EFFECT and not the actual clip with the effect right? In my effects book it says you can name the effect anything you want but when I saved mine, it titled it the same name I gave of the clip. I don't want to be on my next project and pull that effect up and it is the same video clip of the present project! I will just have to fool around with it...

Did you drag the effect to your Favorites folder? That's one way, or if you want to save a group of effects on a single clip then just use the Effect - Make Favorite Effect command and it will create a folder of effects in the Favorites folder. Grab that folder and drag it onto another clip in another project and you'll have the same effect.
