Savage 3x1000w Softbox kit? $500?!

Anyone know anything about these?

They're cheaper than the JTL 3-light Kit and come with bigger soft boxes. It says its "fan cooled" which may be a problem if you cant turn off the fan. I think the 500w version comes without the fan though.

Pass on the fans. Will you really need 3000w of lighting? It mostly depends upon what you're going to be doing as to whether you'll need that much. For interview stuff, unless its a big interview in terms of area 1 softbox and a reflector could be all you need. Even two could cover many situations with some options like small fresnels for background and rim lighting.

Or go with a fluorescent solution to replace the hot softbox units to keep from heating up the room and talent.
