SATA and G4 quicksilver

I have an extra SATA that I want to use with my G4 quicksilver. I have one HD bay open for it, or the second optical slot. Is there some option to put it in the tower, or do I have to use it in an external enclosure. And if that is the case what case do you sugest. If it is a hastle I will just sell it off. Thanks a bunch.

You need an SATA card or converter. Dunno how much they cost. Try looking up SATA to IDE conversion. Its probably not worth it depending on the size of the SATA drive. You could end up spending between 30 and 120 on a solution to use it.

I found an internal adapter for 15 bucks. I will give that a try. That tower has become a secondary machine, so a bit more space for this little experiment should work out. Thanks for your help.

I put a serial ATA card in my Quicksilver and then added a striped drive configuration and got pretty decent speeds from it.
