This caught me by surprise. 1080p60. Do TV's support it? Can it be captured via HDMI? Do prosumer and pro cameras support it.

What's the story here?

Thanks,

P.S.
I couldn't figure out where to put it, so I tried making it news.

This is nastier than I thought: http://www.ambarella.com/docs/1080p60.pdf

Apparently HDMI has ALWAYS supported 1080p60 in the specs. 1.3 doubled the bandwidth on the wire (from 4.96 to 10.2 Gb/s) and supports....30bit 2560x1600p75. At 1080 it supports 36-bit 1080p75 or 48-bit 1080p60. HDMI 10 supported 24-bit 1080p60, although the broadcast standard was 1080i60.

JVC and Sanyo are shipping 1080p camcorders. Is this the next new standard? Should be be looking for 10-bit 1080p60 capture?
