I have been saving for a Sanken CS3e,
but now that Schoeps has come out with there new Shotgun
I am not sure which one will be right for me now.
I guess what I'm asking is will the Schoeps shotgun out perform the Sanken in all catagories.l
if it like 641 - sound wise they are very different , iam not sure it would reject the sides like sanken , so if you compare it sound only - go with schoeps - for drama defiantly .
ask Ty to do the computation since i don't see i get one in near future
The Schoeps web site suggest that the new shotgun will be like a 641 only with a longer reach, plus some nifty features like very light weight, and push buttons and LEDs. Very cool.
But, your are probably right, the Sanken CS3e will still be best at rejecting the sides, thats why I'm interested in the CS3e
Has anyone ever seen the Sanken used succesfully in anything other than voice, such as nature studies (waterfalls, wolves hollowing, wind blowing in the trees) or musical instruments?
