Sanken CS-1 or Audio-Technica AT4073a

I don't know if vs. threads are allowed or not, but I just need a little help deciding what microphone to pick up. I shoot mostly interview footage and that can be anywhere from someone's home to the back of a warehouse to sidelines of sports events. I need a mic that cuts down enough of the extraneous noise but still affords me nice room tone sounds etc...

What are you experiences with the mics?

Thanks

sanken has more side/rear rejection than the AT, they both have very wide pattern, the At is hotter so you work with lower gain on your pre-amps. The Sanken is thinner because doesn't take as much LF from the enviromment, the At will pick up more background noise and reverb, more proximity effect too. The At is quieter
I like the Sanken better because is more versatile. You should listen to both.
For sitting Interviews I would pick a hyper better than a shotgun.

Look at NTG-3 also. It has a slightly wider pickup pattern giving you a bit wider range (will cover 2-3 people standing side by side). Good off-axis rejection.

The NTG 3 is a good option, but it doesn't have good side rejection, it's just narrower pattern than the AT and the Cs-1. it sounds very dull.
