Sand in my DVX! HELP!

I did everything I could to try and avoid it. I bought a rain slicker along with a filter to protect the lens and I gaffer taped the hell out of it. But, I got some sand in the zoom area and it wont zoom on the servo (When I tried manually, I heard the grinding of sand grains and I stoped). No other noticable problems beside that. I'm not sure if I should try and air dust it myself, or take it somewhere to have it cleaned (Any suggestions? - SD/LA area?) I have a Mack warranty, but I NEED it this weekend.

What should I do?

Of course, blowing air can drive the sand in deeper, I'd take it in to a pro for repairs if it were me.

:-[ ... I'm an idiot. I had it side mounted on by brothers desert car this weekend:

Getting footage of him and all his buddies railing it this weekend. Thought I made enough precautions to protect the cam, but it looks like I was wrong. I need to get a underwater housing for it.
