Can anyone tell me where i could find protection for my DVX100B, such as a cover or anything that would allow me to film on the beach. I am traveling to Hawaii and would like to use my camera. Any ideas would be useful. I've looked everywhere and have had no luck. Thank you

If its really windy and blowing sand or dirt, your best bet is probably a Rain cover short of an underwater housing. Use a clear or UV lense cover. The Panasonic cover (petrol) is good. Kata---some people like it, I dont---too stiff and doesnt fit the way I want it to.
Other poor man options:
Clear plastic trash bag taped around lense shade and taped around eyepiece and tripod head (this is very noisy in wind and chics dont dig it); or
If you are really in a pinch, gaffers tape over all tape door edges, top, bottom, sides and leave accessory ports covered except of course whatever you have plugged in. Tape the lcd closed. Tape over the lcd hinge. Tape front zoom servo switch, mic/line switches, man/auto switch, wb, basically any switch that doesnt have a rubber gasket. With a little creativity, you can tape the ND switch and still have it useable. If you go this route, dont change batteries or tape outdoors. When you are done use a soft rag and a vacuum cleaner before you remove the tape. Vacuum before and after you open lcd, tape drive and accessory ports. I had to do this once and have had no problems. (Use vacuum hose with your fingers as a guide between the hose and camera to prevent scratches or impacts)
*****Never use an air hose on your camera as some have suggested, unless you want to force dirt and moisture into your switches and circuitry.******

buy a kata cover, its cheap and effective.

i spent 2 years in central america on 'the beach' filming a surf video in the most extreme climates that god could throw at me. It worked fine.

best,
