Samyang announce two new prime lenses; 16mm f/2.0 and 300mm f/6.3

Well, the 300mm one won't get many people excited, except maybe for its size. And maybe if it is sharp (unlike its larger brothers).

But 16mm f/2.0 for APS-C at <$500? Awesome! Can't wait for the first tests!
(personally, I won't get one, though: I just bought a vintage elmarit-R 24mm f/2.8, so I'd rather buy a speedbooster myself)

You can also use shallow DoF on ultra-wide angles. This is 16mm f/3.5 on full frame:

I will admit, though, that those are the only two shallow-DoF shots I took that day, out of a total of 42 stills. But all the other ones (the best shot of the day is this one: http://www.similaar.com/foto/alhambra/IMG_5822.JPG) were shot at similar aperure (because it was dark), just focusing farther: a 16mm f/3.5 on FF has a hyperfocal distance of around 3m.
