I just checked this lens out last night at my friends house. All I can say is this thing is worth EVERY CENT!!!!! I like to stick to canon L lenses but this will be my one that will not be canon. I am going to get in on this group buy right now because in all honesty, the difference in picture quality between this and L glass is not worth the extra cash. Trust me, once you get this lens in your hand you will be wishing you threw down 460 to buy it! Ok, I need to stop posting so I can do the same.

You keep lenses your whole life - I think it's worth getting the very best (Canon L) if at all possible- better to cry once, as they say.

I've heard this so many times, and yet I don't know of one single photographer that still shoots on lenses older than about 10 years. Just like body's, people are always upgrading to the newest "version II". I'm not saying I'm interested in the Samyang... just an observation...
