I doubt mane will have opened this thread since quite a few of us seem to want to ask the same question over and over again.. But I thought that Vegas didn't use the second core (third and fourth if available either) while previewing. It might be new on Vegas 7.0 with the latest update since I just finally got Vegas 7. But I though 7.0 didn't support it either... However I was looking at the usage of the individual cores while previewing and I noticed that while Core 1 was at about 90% Core 2 was at about 60%... that is significant usage. Now while rendering oth go all the way up to 98%... But 60% is significant! I was previewing a 720p clip at pixel for pixel with an audio track... no CC, no fades just cuts.
Can someone explain this to me?
