Hi all,
On my project (standard 4:3 NTSC mini-DV), I'm incorporating still photos in an interview (with many screen capture pix from the internet as the respondent discusses various topics). I'll be rendering output on both DVD and internet media. When I bring the pix in the timeline sequence, I am overlaying the pix on a new track. The photo image size in 720 x 543.
For internet rendering the pix would size fine, but of course burning the project to a DVD would cause some of the pix to be outside the Safe Model area. I suppose I could create a second set of photos, resizing them (perhaps down 20% to compensate for the television overscan) and create a new project or timeline sequence. Alternately, I could use the smaller photo size for both render outputs however the pix would need to be on the same track as the interview footage; otherwise the internet render video would allow the interview video to display around the sides of the pix (i.e., the pix mask wouldn't cover the area outside the safe model).
I would appreciate any insights with an elegant solution along with specific steps.
Warm Regards, Michael
