Sachtler Video 15 Plus head w/ Vinten CF 2-stage sticks

I purchased this setup from eBay, but after getting it, found out the sticks were for 75mm heads and the Sachtler it came with was 100mm. Meaning the tie down under the 100mm ball was too big for the legs to close up completely. Nothing seemed wrong with either piece, but the combo of these 2 specific pieces wasn't doing me any good.

My question...has anyone ever heard of the Video 15 Plus? I searched Google, but only came back with 1 Craigslist ad in Colorado. All authentic Sachtlers I've seen has a special black speckle paint on it. Well the head itself didn't have that, but the knob to attach the pan handle did. It had the 1 touch illuminated balance bubble and moved like a charm, but had some serious resistance when panning up or down. Could be that the head is made for up to 33lbs and the 5DMKII wasn't enough weight, but come on...really?

Should I keep this or send it back?

How much did you pay? That is an awesome head, but it is for larger cameras. I like a lot of resistance in my pans and tilts and use a head rated well over my 5D.

If I had the money, I'd be looking for one!

It was $2,800 shipped. I'm at Fedex Kinko's mailing it back now unfortunately. I'm sure it will be up on their eBay store again soon. Be warned that it comes with a mis-matched head/sticks.
