Sachtler DV 4 II

Hello everyone

Just got a Sacthler DV 4 II head for the HVX, and before I inadvertently break anything, can anyone shed any light on how/why the threading screw in the Sachtler quick release plate doesn't seem to match the hole on the base of the HVX?

The devil is in the details.

thats wierd, i have a DV1 that is pretty similar and the plate works on my HVX... is the hole too big, or too small?
i would think that the 1/4 20 thread is pretty universal by now.

I have both a DV 4 II and a DV 6 amoung my cluster o' pods. When attaching to a particular HVX I found the front alignment pins from both quick release plates were ridiculously tight. The alignment hole in the HVX mounting plate was smaller than on my DVXs. A quality control issue with the HVX not the sachtler hardware. Absolutely no issue with the screws in either of the sachtler plates with that HVX though. I was able to attach both quick release plates, but they were a @#$ to get off that HVX because of the super tight alignment pin/hole issue.
