Sabra vs ktek shockmounts...

i dont really understand why they didnt just leave the suspension system as bands, why did they create a hole to slide the mic into to?

the kssm rocks because the mic is held perfectly still. It won't slide out. it absorbs shock great. the tilt adjustment is very nicely machined and the whole thing is quality. If you tried it against a rode sm3 or similer style, let me tell you you would go kssm

It's the quality of the construction and the functionality of the bands and tilt... plus the elegance of a minimalist system.

So much in this industry seems insultingly overpriced, but I don't have a problem with the cost to quality relationship when it comes to ktek products. Simply put, they make great stuff.
