Last autumn we had Rycote's first mics: their excellent short and medium shotgun mics. I was glad to be able to get these from Rycote for testing back then, and have been using them as my shotgun mics of choice since. With the announcement of their new SDC mics, I was keen to keen hold of the supercardioid and cardioid models in particular, and in my latest blog post cover some tests (with wav files included): https://drbadphil.com/rycotes-new-mics-part-1-cardioid-and-supercardioid
The consistency of the supercardioid and the two earlier shotgun mics is really useful for film sound, so I'd recommend giving them a listen if you can at some point. I'll add a link to tests with the omni mics in due course too.
Cheers,
Roland
