Rycote BBG and AKG se300b

Hi all,

I've read so many posts here and there saying that many mates use the Rycote BBG with the AKG blue line mics.

Well, I went for it after some buying indecisions and I've noticed that the BBG has a 20mm shank!

Can anyone tell me how many seems to use this combo since the AKGs blue line mics are 19mm in diameter???

I tried to get an answer for a similar question with no success. I have the blue line but I am looking at the softie. Rycote's site suggests a medium hole softie but like u said, the blue line is 19mm.

I think I will eventually take the mic to a shop and try things out, if you can do the same.
 
The Rycote BBG has a tapered rubber mounting ring - starts @ 20mm and tapers down below 19. Holds to my blue lines with no problem. If you're going to be swinging 'em hard or something energetic, a couple of wraps of electrical tape inside the bbg would lock it in solid.

The BBG is used with the hyper caps btw, the softie is for the shotgun (also holds with no problem). You want the 24cm small hole softie...

I've arranged a try out on the Rycote's official dealer here in Portugal for the next week and I can share my experience after that if you would like.
